Problems with Calligrapher Handwriting Recognition and the Touch Keyboard

I have been an avid user of the Calligrapher handwriting recognition software (http://www.phatware.com/calligrapher/index.html) for long time.

Unfortunately after upgrading to the Touch there is an issue with Calligrapher and the built in Touch keyboard. It seems that the Touch Keyboard does suggestions no matter what input device is being used. This wrecks havoc with Calligrapher. Has anyone else experience this problem or can anyone suggest possible solutions?

Exclamation Am I the only one who uses Calligrapher?

This is a great program, and I still can't figure out how to use it without the Touch Keyboard messing things up. Please if there is anyone else out there that uses it let me know.

Don't know if this would work for you. Have you been in the input applet in the Settings folder? Isn't there a setting that lets you disable suggestions? That's the case in WM5.

There is for the keyboard, but not for the Touch Keyboard

Bring up the Touch Keyboard, then tap the little up arrow to the right of the "20" at the bottom.

Choose "Options..."

Choose the Word Completion Tab

Uncheck "Suggest words when entering text"

Uncheck "Enable Auto Correct"

That should turn it off.
