Completely New to PPC... Need Guidance

Hey everybody,
I have tried reading through this forum and others as well as searching for some help but have found little success. I was wondering if there was a site or something that basically explains all of this PPC stuff (i.e. installing things, difference between .exe and .cab, changing themes, activesync stuff). The Touch is my first foray from a non-traditional phone.

Not sure if there is a generalized website that is kept up to date and has all the info, but here's a bit of info

.cabs installs programs into the phone (transfer the .cab file to the ppc)
.exe can either be a program or an installer, depends on the one typically it's the installer though, which installs to windows, then you go to activesync to install it
.tsk's are theme's, put them into the /windows and change theme by going to Settings > Today Screen

^ Thanks. After you unzip a .exe from your PC, how do you transfer them in ActiveSync? Additionally what is "/windows"?

which .exe did you download? It depends a lot on what it is

/windows is the directory, so you'd click on "explore device" in active sync, and then click on the device, then click windows
