How to get rid of the DCIM folder and have pictures stored to your storage card under \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures:

1. Open up the camera, and press on the 3 bars on the lower right. That should open up the options. The last option will let you pick either main memory, storage card, and bluetooth. hChoose Storage Card and it ok to save. Pictures seemed to be save under \storage card\dcim\100media.

2. To change the path of the saved pictures and video to \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures, edit the registry:
HKLM\software\htc\camera\General
- change EnableDCIM from 1 to 0.

Now your pictures will be stored in \Storage Card\My Documents\My Pictures

I'm guessing the registry hacks related to the sounds made when adjusting volume (up/down) when in a call, as well as the dropped call sounds, and sounds made when you end a call, will all work on the Touch too, correct? (I've been too lazy to try).

Make Your PocketPC Faster

Open your registry editor on your Pocket PC
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\GDI\GLYPHCACHE\
3. Change the value of 'limit' from 8192 to 16384… or even to 32768 for a faster setting but eats up more memory
4. Close registry editor and soft reset.

HKLM\System\StorageManager\FATFS

I changed the CacheSize key from 0 to 8192 and it seems to have sped up my ppc.
I don't notice any diference with my speed of my touch. If anything, its making my phone trip out. The calendar short key on the lower left switches to notification back to calendar whenever i wake up my touch. Are you sure this is compatible with our Touch and not just for the mogul? Has anyone else tried this tweak?

I did them. Battery life is great (didn't have much time with the phone before though) and nothing seems out of order. Might as well do them and maybe get a little improvement.

These hacks DO work. I was turning my mogul on all day just to confirm that the battery was not losing its juice, and it held through the whole day, something that I have never seen before.

disable annoying "message sent" notification

i hate that damn pop up so here's the fix that i've used on all my ppc devices:

- HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox

- create a new key "Settings"

- create a new string value "SMSNoSentMsg" and set the value to 1
