I think Paragon Partition Manager will do it. I'm going to download it tonight and try it out tomorrow. I hope it works. I'm tired of carrying around an 8gb and a 2gb card just for flashing.

I had a 4 gb card, and tried to partition it into a 3gb 1gb but the computer would only recognize 1 partition. I used the 1gb as the main and tried to flash nope. I tried with my 8gb card too, and nope. oh well.

Your problem is that you are creating multiple partitions...just make a 1GB partition and leave the rest blank (unpartitioned space)
You can partition an mSD card natively in windows, by doing the following... 1. In XP/2003, Right-click on "My Computer" (or "Computer" in Vista) and select "Manage" 2. Select "Disk Management" from the left hand side, and it will show all your harddrives and connected flash/storage cards 3. Right click on the desired card, and make a 1GB partition, and then make the larger area inactive, or delete it, so it is just raw/free space (unpartitioned) So now you have a 1GB card basically, and no other partitions on the card. For example, and 4GB card would be a 1GB partition, with 3GB free space (unpartitioned space) - shows up as a 1GB card in your phone and in Windows. Just make sure to format the 1GB partition as FAT32 with "1024 bytes" for the allocation unit size, then just follow my previous instructions on how to flash the IMG file from the root of your mSD card.. |
