I also changed the PagePool to 20, lets hope that this will improve speed, If it doesnt, or people do not see a difference in speed, then feel free to let me know and I can change it back then.

Known Issue

Locations is not turned on. (I am still working on this if anyone knows how please let me know.)

Long Press End Key is now located in Settings-Buttons-Endkey, make sure you check it first, otherwise it is set to lock your phone. And then second issue is It will not work to disconnect data, but it will work for airplane mode.

Startup sound may go off after your phone is started, I am working on that has well. I will post a fix if I can find something.



Directions

1. Flash to official Alltel Rom

2. Follow these steps, to allow for custom rom on your Vogue

3. Once your device is unlock, Download the file and then Run the file. It should flash your phone over.

4. After the flash has finished, and everything is loaded, let the custamaztion run, this will allow your alltel phone to connect to the internet, and all ow your MMS and everything else to work. Your phone should now restart itself.

5. After it loads up you will need to do the following. Dial *228 and press option 3.

6. Enjoy your new alltel 6.1 ROM

This is the cab file I have used to get the custom dictionary working.

the update rom will have nothing big, New Comm manager, keyboard fix, and a few other small fixes, nothing to major.

Hello, I have everything working great but 2 things. 1 is my picture mail it will not recieve them or send them. and 2 is the GPS i dont know whats going on. please help

okay gps could you be more specific, is it doing any one thing? or just in general messed up?

Picture mail should be working fine. from your messaging go into "pic/video configuration" and from there go into servers tab. and you should see something like Allel MMSC, if you do not see that then your servers are messed up. and you will need to do some editing, I can maybe find a cab file that will fix all of that for you. Let me know if you have Alltel MMSC in your servers tab tho.

hey con is it possible to change default browser? I really like Opera Mini. it seems much smoother and loads pages faster. but the multiple tabs on this one is pretty nice. been playing with this all day and its great you do really good work. After doing the reg edits I noticed a big improvment in speed also. you got anymore tricks for speeding things up? thanks again!

Opera 9.5 is hard coded into the manilla, so you will not be able to change it from that internet window. And I am glad to hear that those registry edits helped speed everything up. I will have those included in the update later on today. So it should be a little more speed. Also glad to know that your GPS is working good for you. But for any more speed tricks, right now I am unsure. I saw one around for changing your DNS servers to OPENDNS servers, but i am not sold on how much that helped. But who knows. for now i am off to bed, gotta be up in 4 hours.

Hey Con or Wordie, whats the deal with MMS wanting to work when it wants to, lol, having some problems, I can send pics/videos, but far as recieving them its generally hit or miss. Usually after a soft reset everything works fine, but that is really annyoing because people send me stuff and ask "hey did you get that pic I sent" and I'm like "what pic, resend" so is this just a general problem with 6.1 mobile or this rom, any help will greatly be apperciated!

That's an Alltel thing... and actually it's an MMS thing in general (ask any TMobile Customer). To my knowledge it has nothing to do with the software/rom you're running.

There may be some slight variance in how smartphone/PPC devices handle MMS ping and retrieval than a standard handset but it's not a side effect of Con's rom.
