IN ORDER TO USE THESE ROMS YOU MUST HAVE THE 3.xx's RADIO AND YOUR PHONE MUST HAVE THE 2.31 BOOTLOADER THIS IS A PROJECT THAT I'M STARTING FOR THE 3.XX'S ROM'S Here's the dig on my 3.x's roms Anyone can add OEMs to a rom ... but what I have chose to do now is customize a rom down to being a clean and solid working rom . If you are a person that likes a bloated rom .. These may not be the roms for you ...... 6.30.08 Changes XIP base from 3.03 SYS from 19214 added diamond power.exe (also controls backlight settings) updated some oem drivers from 3.03 rom removed MSVC updated gps drivers from 3.03 rom added sd autorun (UC capability) replaced MS taskmgr.exe with Dotfred taskmgr.exe replaced fexplore.exe with updated file explorer removed isext.dll added titan home plugin (end user optional) added titan smart dialing and dialer fixed auto prepend fixed connection icon (it now shows gray when idle) somewhat fixed phone codes (some work some don't) added calibri fonts(thanks No2Chem) 7-10-08.a changes OEM base from 3.07 Telus rom Removed titan dialer XIP from 3.07 Telus rom SYS 19208 3.07 Rom Added Vogue Phone Canvas Fixed silent ringing issue Fixed auto prepend Added SQLCE Mobile Added Windows Live Removed Calibri Fonts Fixed Connection icons Removed Diamond Power.exe (uses Vogue Power.exe) Updated GPS Drivers from 3.07 ROM Change GUI to Standard WM6 Fixed Menu issues with certain apps I.E. TCPMP,SlingPlayer Fixed all dialer codes removed titan home plugin cleaned up today screen updated fuart.exe cleaned up programs folder removed owner info today registry fixed biotouch registry This ROM is in development and it may have issues if you run across one please post how to recreate it and I will get to it as best as possible ... This rom is basically clean with just a couple of third party apps that I thought could help improve the overall user experience added dotfred taskmgr 3.1 (replaces MS Taskmgr) gsfinder (replaces MS File explorer) Vogue Dialer The pagepool is 16mb The SYS base is 19208 The XIP CE base is 19208 DOWNLOAD Pulled for now........ Always remember to hard reset ...... ================================================== =============================================== JD's Hybrid 1996X Rom This Rom is a hybrid between the 19960 and 19965 builds of Windows Mobile 6.1 . The XIP CE Base is 19208 Sprint 3.03 Build This rom is very clean beside a few addons that I thought would be useful .... Please note what the bug is and how to recreate it ...... also if there are any program incompatibilities please report what program and where I can find it ...... \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ 19208 Optimized Test ROM This rom is build off of the Sprint Official Release what I'm doing with this one is optimizing the the 19208 build .... meaning that instead of bring a whole new build number I'm singling out certain modules to update this build since it was designed for the Vogue The ROM is basically clean it has all of the drivers and oem from the 3.03 ROM with a few updated control panel apps like powerexe.exe and USBtoPC. I left error reporting on in this ROM because if a app crashes I need to know why ..... I also left SQLCEMobile and Windows Live in this ROM to test issues with certain server and app problems (This rom is very beta it is stable but may be updated frequently) Download ftp://ppcgeeks.com/Vogue/Users/Jakdi....1/7-25-08.rar 7-25-08 FINAL Anyone who chooses to test this ROM please provide feedback...... if you find a bug please tell me how to recreate the situation that caused the bug so I can narrow it down to fix it quickly................ |

Has anyone experienced problems with installed apps not showing in the Remove Programs section?
I am having this problem with both the 7-10-08 and the 7-10-08a rom. |

I was able to fix the issue by going to HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies and change these entries HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\0000 1001 = 2 -> Change the value data from 1 to 2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\0000 1005 = 16 -> Change the value data from 40 to 16 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Policies\Policies\0000 1017 = 128 -> Change the value data from 160 to 128 I got this fix from over at XDA in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=365227 |
