What's odd is that I was only able to obtain the speed in my signature 1 time and that was with the Alltel ROM and now I can't seem to get it to break 500kbps download. I know I did everything right and I know for a fact I am in a blanketed EVDO area but for whatever reason I just can't seem to get those speeds.

Anybody have any ideas?

Edit:: My upload speeds average 150-180 but will not break 200 anymore either so am I still on Rev A but not getting the download speeds?

All I can think of is that you are not getting Rev-A reception

Kind of like how I don't always get HSPDA through AT&T on my Kaiser, in some areas I only get 3G or just Edge or even just G.

I thought of that but I always have at least 2 bars EVDO and I live Olathe, KS and my apartment is only 7 miles from Sprint's National Headquarters in Overland Park, KS. The coverage map shows my area is blanketed in Rev A.

There has to be something wrong somewhere. Here is what I did:

Flashed back to stock ROM
Ran new unlocker
flashed Alltel rom skipping alltel customization
flashed jd's Rev A enabled test ROM.

Now my download speeds are less than 200kbps and upload won't break 30kbps.

I'm hopeless I think...](*,)](*,)

EDIT:: MobileSpeedTest.com test results:: 142.20kbps - Definitely NOT Rev A. Oh and I have 3 bars EVDO at the time of the test.

Quick question for those using JD's 2.1 Test Rom, I went to disable rilphone.dll but found the key already deleted...Just wanted to make sure that was the case.http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/%5BIMG%5Dh....jpg%5B/IMG%5D

Well it's nothing to brag about but it's pretty fast. I think around the speeds I was getting with my Mogul when REV A came out for it.

I'm in Austin, TX. We should post our cities so we can compare with others in the same area.

How are you guys doing the test through speedtest.net?
Is there a mobile url for it? Or are you guys just tethering?
Cause I cannot find it...

Anyways, on dslreports, I get 735 kbit/s, which is almost double what I was getting before :D

Wished Bell had a better Rev. A coverage ;)
