How-To Get GPS/Rev A on Sprint Touch

WOW -great news - I will wait a day or two to verifiy that there are no other issues with the ROM. Does anybody think this will speed Sprint up on releaseing their ROM or do you think they even bother to know?

I can't thank the many people who worked on this.. I have been checking the forums for months waiting for this day...

But alas a question... I followed all the steps in your tutorial, and went through the unlocker without a problem, but then when I tried to load the altel rom I got an error and I am now stuck in the four color screen??.

Question: After I flash the unlocker - I wait for my phone to boot up into windows mobile before loading the alltell exe rom file from the soft reset camera button and power button? I did this and my device kept resetting and finally gave me the error that this rom was not compatible with my phone?


ANY HELP?

I've read that folks have had to run this new unlocker after bricking from the Alltel rom; can you run this unlocker if you're still using stock (not 6.1), with ImCokeMan's first unlocker. I'd assume so, and that it's necessary, but I have no idea how these things work. Second, what happens to your carrier's customizations; will the phone, data, etc. work or will I need to flash something else? Anyone with a xv6900 try this?

You should be connected to your computer, ActiveSync running when you go into the bootloader, then once in the bootloader run the Alltel ROM exe.

it should work without a problem but i would advise to wait because you don't have the original rom of Verizon (shipped version) in case something bad happens you won't be able to go back to your stock rom..
