i had this with 19.1, but it was hit-or-miss. Sometimes I would go to bed with 80% and wake up with 20%, other days with 70%. I never did understand why. 3.37.15 + v20 = no problems at all for me

Re: Derek's ROM v19 w/ GPS - Updated 04-30-08

For those who would like comparisons, I regularly visit family that is approx 48mins away. My last 3 trips I have run the GPS from door-to-door; the first and third trip saw a drain of 20%; the second trip saw a drain of 30% but I did have a phone call.

I don't have the 1% increment mod, took identical routes, with no traffic and 35mins of freeway. The few times I glanced at it, signal was medium according to MobileXT (more than 4 less than 9 i think.)

This was all prior to the sprint leak (DNJ 19+Alltell+drivers). Now I get no less than 9 sats with the leaked ROM. After I've made the trip 2 or 3 times I'll report any differences.

Re: Derek's ROM v19 w/ GPS - Updated 04-30-08

as a followup of using v20 and ppst for a few days now, gps consistently locks 8 to 9 sats outside with about 5 to 10 sec for a good lock from a cold start. then again i have a convertable. no priming or restarts required.
net speed is good w/ 650 Kbps dl but haven't gotten a chance to do an upload bandwidth test.
i havent run into the slow down issue i mentioned last time since i ran ppst
ps doing this post from my phone. again im grateful for everyone's hard work on this, its wonderful not to have a gimped phone anymore.

user13: have a little patient, everyone have their own personal things going on, it'll be out when it's out.

Re: Derek's ROM v19 w/ GPS - Updated 04-30-08

Dude, Derek, Ive been using your ROM for one day and I gotta say it is REALLY GOOD. I tried OMJ's latest, the Almost OEM ROM and before that the Alltel and the GPSTEST ROM and off the bat yours has been better then theirs.

I like how CLEAN it is and how you included the Blue Cube, not sure why anyone keeps using the Sprint on their ROMS. Besides that, your ROM left me with over 150mb of storage on my phone after the flash where OMJ's left me with like less than 110mb and the Almost OEM left me about over 130mb. Not only that but theirs had some issues here and there. So far, none for yours!

I installed the PPST Sprint CAB and ran PPST to make sure I had <10 second fixes on my GPS and I have been running smoothly and snappy since yesterday.

I just finished customizing my phone so I dont think I will be upgrading to the v20 cause my wife will kill me if she sees me customizing my phone yet again for the millionth time (that includes a crap load of pre-GPS ROMS).

On that note, what new is coming with the v20 that the v19 doesnt have? I have PPST running smoothly and I have no dialer issue with HTC theme. So what am I going to be missing by not upgrading to the new ROM? I think since I have perfect GPS now, I dont need any more flashing till the official one comes out but not after IT being custom-made by one of you guys. So that might be a while hehe.

Anyways, great ROM and great work man. Really appreciate it for making the ROM I needed.
