The battery is the standard 3 white bar battery display. Yes, with the dialpad, every time you hit a number the phone pulses giving some nice feedback. Depending on if you use the smart dialer or not determines how much of a pulse (not sure why but it works like that).

Which city are you trying to pull? If the city you are looking for isn't there then you need to go into edit the "HH_0409_WeatherCities.xml" inside of the \Windows directory and add in your city information.

corys00 02-09-2008 01:55 PM

Is there a way to turn off the haptic like feedback?

awesome, i think i may have to give this one a try. does the haptic feedback work just when dialing, or when typing in general?

I'll try and find out how, but if not I can cook one for you w/o the vibrating dialpad.

Well, I'm gonna try it first with the feedback, never know, I might just like it.

Would love to see things like Total Commander, Sprint TV, OZ Messenger cooked into the Rom, but I'm ok with installing them. I'm actually quite confused about putting programs into the rom, does it make any difference?

It's just the dialpad.

I don't use any of those apps but I could make a custom one for you if you really wanted them cooked in. I don't think it really makes a difference if their cooked in or not, just the fact that it's one less thing to install after doing a hard reset I'm assuming.

I assume your talking about the cab? If not and you want the OEM just let me know.
Download the attachment and erase the '.zip' from the end.

Well, I'm still learning what I need and don't need. If anything I need to get my lazy butt in gear to read up on how to cook these up. I appreciate you're willingness to help though.

Yup, sure does. Check out the first post for a list of everything included.

r.mauldin 02-09-2008 03:27 PM

Tried it out and works great. What kitchen did you use to build it?

xtkxhom3r 02-09-2008 04:23 PM

xtkxhom3r 02-09-2008 04:34 PM

ok i used it for like 10 min lol for those 10 min it was running great but i didnt like the fact that i only had 15 mb left of free ram lol... so im gong down to a 24mb page pool

jjday7 02-09-2008 04:59 PM

this is a great rom and I like all the things you added to it. this is awesome and one of my favorites. I like the feedback when dialing numbers, always wanted that . thanks

How many apps have you installed? I have HTC home customizer and cube config tool and still have 50+ MB free program memory and 150+ MB storage memory.

I'll look into the keyboard thing. I never manually add words so this is new for me.

xtkxhom3r 02-09-2008 05:28 PM

no the reason i had 15 mb left was cus i changed the bitpool to 64... but im back down to 24 now lol

Go to: Settings/Personal/Input make sure Touch Keyboard is selected, click Options button, click XT9 options, make sure all boxes are checked, and Voila! should be able to add words by clicking the plus on the word suggestion ribbon...

mr.jcarter 02-09-2008 05:32 PM

Ooh... didn't catch that part lol. Was it noticeably faster at 64 mb pagepool? Just wondering...

xtkxhom3r 02-09-2008 05:35 PM

yea it is pretty fast but nothing like wow

kellybrf 02-09-2008 07:25 PM

I agree, been running this Rom and haven't ran into any issues so far. I also would like to see the feedback for the touch keypad as well but I do wonder what kind of side effect there is on the battery life as I am using the keypad A LOT during the day.

I've never heard of app that will vibrate on the press of the keyboard, but I have tried one that would vibrate on EVERY touch of the touchscreen. Honestly, I thought it was going to be great but once I figured out that I type faster than my phone can vibrate, it got quite annoying. Not to mention my hand started to feel like it was constantly vibrating despite I didn't have the phone in my hand...

kellybrf 02-09-2008 09:05 PM

if they can do it with the dialer they can do it with the keypad. id like it b.c there are times when the key press animation doesnt always show up when youre typing quickly.

jjday7 02-09-2008 09:10 PM

I did find one problem after toying with this all day. I notice that when you save your favorite people for the home plugin that when you reboot the phone that the names will nolonger be there and you have to keep putting them in manually over and over again. Can this be fixed?
