having activesync issues with this...anyone else? the usb works, just wont sync. i turned of the firewall and still nothing. it was perfect in v7.

OMJ, did you forget to put in the custom city data base plugin thingy or whatever.. because with the new v8 version it wont upload the custom city's weather

In conversational terms ... it is a utility that was created / customized by Sleuth255, who I believe, primarily posts over on XDA.

It is essentially an application (which can be integrated into a ROM/Kitchen) that is setup to (primarily) automatically run at the tail end of the ROM initialization process. I say primarily, because as I understand it, you can run the application at any time.

The application reads in an input file from the root directory of the microSD card and executes the commands included in that text file. My observation has been that it is used primarily to install supplementary programs that may not have been included in the ROM as well as to configure registry entries.

issues that im having with this build. activesync does not work correctly. yahoo2go beta does not have the sync contacts option. java does not support full screen for opera mini. on the other hand it does seem faster that the last build. more organized. more options to customize.

I'm not using v8 at the moment, but when I was, activesync was working fine.

try a hard reset, but I'll test it out soon.

btw ... activesync is working fine for me on v.8, but I have been (strictly) following your advice to hard reset after a flash, just to ensure everything is cleared out
