I also bought a Sprint TP and had it flashed for metro...six months later the TP's keyboard went out. Yes, this is a hardware issue. I tried ALL types of fixes...there is a temp fix...which works...but eventually you WILL have to replace the keyboard. But you are in luck. You need a torx screwdriver and an ebay account...and search this site- you WILL find a tutorial on how to move the back...it is very EASY.

Here is a seller on ebay selling the keyboard for $45...

I couldn't find the seller I bought it from...it is better to buy the keyboard and screen together...make it easier to install...just unscrew, and connect three wires and screw back.

My Touch Pro has been working ever since...

Good luck.
