Re: $100 rebate from HTC for buying a TP2 and trading in your TP

Dude, that sucks! So if I have a Sprint phone and wanted to, for whatever reason, go to VZW and purchase a new TP2, I wonder if I could still get the $100 rebate.

Nice business model HTC!
But why wouldn't they accept sprint phone purchases?

They will accept your Sprint PPC! Its on the qualifing list! The fine print only states that your NEW phone must be purchased from Verizon.

Also this promotion is not just for Verizon:

If your with or switch to At&t and purchase a Tilt 2
-or-
If your with or switch to T-Mobile and purchase a Touch Pro 2.

See for yourself: http://htctradein.com/

And no matter which carrier your with or choose to be with, you can trade in any of the qualifing PPC's no matter the carrier your old device was with.
Example: if your with Verizon and have a Touch Pro, and decide to go to At&t and purchase a Tilt2, YOU CAN trade in your Verizon Touch Pro!
--------
This is great for me as I'm not willing to give up my touch pro yet, but...I do have a Samsung i730 and a HTC Harrier (Verizon XV6600) lying around, and they both qualify!

Update: Actually this sucks for me since I'm not eligible for a phone upgrade till August 2010, I would have to pay more for the Touch Pro 2. Which would cost me $369 before trade in rebate. Damn!

Yeah if your due for the 2 year upgrade, if not you'd have to upgrade for $369 before the trade in rebate.

Is there really people out there willing to pay $150.00 for the Touch Pro? Because if they know better they shouldn't pay more than $100.

I was just thinking the same thing, almost makes me want to go get a refurb, then get the tp2 for $200, the funny thing is i can get a tp2 for cheaper then the tp from sprint
