alltel HTC Touch pro unlock to verizon

I have a Verizon account and you cant add a alltel touch pro to it so what are the steps for reprogramming or unlocking it to a Verizon phone

You have to get Verizon to add the esn to their system. Some people say that they will add it with some coaxing and a nice rep on the phone. Other people say that Verizon will not accept a foreign esn

You will not be able to use an Alltel phone on a Verizon account. It used to be that you could have them add the ESN to their database, but since the merger, they already added Alltel ESN's, and marked them as Alltel devices, and cannot be added to a Verizon account. Verizon phones can be used on Alltel accounts, but not the other way around.

The only way to make it work would be to clone it to an existing Verizon ESN, and you won't find any information about that on this forum.

talked to a verizon rep friday and was told that if my alltel touch pro had the proper verizon software on it, i could have it activated on a verizon account.
was told this in store, so your best bet would be to flash to verizon shipped rom, relock your phone and take it to a verizon store and have them activate it for you. if you get a good rep, it should be no problem
