Is it possible to take a cooked rom or roms and modify them in the kitchen? I tried several roms for my touch pro and they were all very good and I do appreciate the chefs but each had something one of the others were missing for my personal taste. Also, most had programs I dont't use and I'd like to declutter.
If not I'll have to read up on how to make one from scratch, I'm downloading the kitchen right now but am good at computers and learning even though no experience with this.

Unfortunately most chefs protect their roms, or use a kitchen that does this automatically. Its a way of keeping ones work from others stealing it.

Thanks, I understand that. Is there a way to remove some of the unused programs or change button custimizations?
One didnt show a signal strength but a satellite icon instead. I live on the fringe.
Also off topic but how do you move the cursor when useing the virtual keyboard? I keep hitting enter when I try. Could a custom rom change that too? I've only had the pro since friday, used to the mogul d-pad.

Re: cook a cooked rom?

Most chefs "protect" their work. Don't know why, all the programs are available for free, most share the same registry base, etc, etc, etc.

A little outdated, you can read some of my tutorials to get the basics down. Then use a kitchen, update your OEM and go for it. It's hours-o-fun!

And moved to the Touch Pro forum.

If you like my rom I made my kitchen publicly available for anyone to use
