Battery Life and New Energy ROM

Hello everyone, I am a newcomer and just flashed this Rom to my Verizon TP. I love the ROM but it seems to really deplete my battery quickly. I tried to read up on Forum etiquette and have looked all over to see if this is an issue only associated with me. My entire battery will deplete in a matter of 4 1/2 - 5 hours. If this is normal can you please let me know? If not, any recommendations or tweaks I should make. Thanks so much.

Re: Battery Life and New Energy ROM

It's normal.

Like you said, great ROM but I can't even go to sleep without my phone being charged otherwise it's dead in under 4 hours WITH ABSOLUTELY NO USE.

I went back to Mighty ROM 6 for battery - I wake up after 5 hours and still have 90+% battery.

energy roms deplete your battery very quickly. it's not a common occurence. quite a few people mentioned this in the tp2 forum when discussing which rom they would flash first when the HardSPL is released for the TP2. if i were you i'd try a different rom....for example indagroove, mightyrom, or demolition rom and see how you like them.

Re: Battery Life and New Energy ROM

Thanks very much. I was searching the cdma forum and found some but I appreciate it nonetheless. I will try demolition for the heck of it and post later. Thanks again.

Re: Battery Life and New Energy ROM

I'm running the energy rom, and get a solid 24 hrs. plus with average usage. You should look into some of the battery mods and programs to help out with it.

Re: Battery Life and New Energy ROM

Did you use the cab file that is listed in the bottom of the thread or did you simply do the registry tweaks listed at the beginning? Thanks for your suggestions.

Same here.. I go all day on the Energy ROM without blowing out my battery and use my phone quite a bit. No battery mods done and I use a stock battery.

Re: Battery Life and New Energy ROM

Same here for me, I'm getting the same or better battery life with Energ than with Mighty. I think it has a lot to do with your settings and radio.
