Should I buy a Touch Pro 2 for $250?
 

A guy in my city is selling a Sprint Touch Pro 2 (brand new) on Craigslist for $275. I offered him $250 and he's willing to take that. Should I get this? Sounds fishy to me but he says it has a clean ESN and is brand new in box!

I would make sure it activates on your account before handing over the money. As for me, I'm just waiting for the TP2 to become the replacement phone on warranty claims.

+1 on the ESN check! if you buy it and it doesnt clear you are most deffinatly screwed.

That's what I'm planning on doing. Should I activate over the phone or have the guy meet me somewhere with Wi-Fi so I could activate it online?

you can call the carrier and tell them that you are thinking of purchasing a phone from someone and ask them to verify the ESN, I have done that for phones I was going to purchase from ebay.

definetly ask him to meet u at a sprint store..and activated it there..sprint reps are humans and do make mistakes so if u call and they tell u that the esn is clear and u give him the money and for sum reason they cant activated your scrwed out $250...good luck and uodate us..pls

I dunno if its any better going to a store, I just would rather have a person tell me the esn is good. Personal preference.

Then I know its on the Sprint rep. when it can't be activated for some reason.
