How to make Google Maps use AFLT for My Location. (Sprint/CDMA Question)

I've been flashing custom roms lately and I found out that Psyki's rom somehow allows Google Maps to access the AFLT/Cell Tower data (I assume) and give an approximate location without using the GPS. This is what I've been looking for, unfortunately I Psyki's rom hasn't been stable for me so I've been looking for a way to configure any of the other 6.5 roms in the same way and not had any luck. I assume that it is related to the Google Location Services however other roms that I've had google location services running on don't work with cell tower ID.

Does anyone know how to configure Google Maps to use the AFLT/Cell Tower data? I haven't had any luck.

Enable My Location on GM (it does not use the GPS unless you check Use GPS)

I have My Location enabled but with the GPS not enabled I only get "Your current location is temporally unavailable" when clicking on 0 or the blue dot.

This is happening for me across multitude roms and installs. Is anyone else on a CDMA Touch Pro not running Psyki's rom getting CellID (not GPS) location working in google maps?

My GM says "Your current location is temporally unavailable"

Although I did just go back to the previous sprint version (.4) so I could use NueOverclockTest

Deck's SsS rom also has My Location working in Google Maps (without using GPS), you may want to try that rom and see if it's more stable.

I really don't know what's needed to do so that it works on other ROMs, but I think I read that it had to do with the Google My Location packages...

Thanks I'll give SsS a try. I know that Google Location Services has something to do with it I just can't figure out what. Many romsinclude it to do the weather location in TF3D (and it works for that) but I can't find any configuration options for it or for Google Maps.

Can Google Location Services be installed onto a stock sprint ROM? I don't yet feel comfortable with custom roms.
