Verizon GPS question

Using a TP on Verzon. Everything seems to work, but the gps doesnt seem to be finding my location, or finding any gps sats even...i think.

I just flashed the new sss rom, downloaded it tonight.

Is there something i need to do/run/install on the vzw version to make this work?

I wasnt sure if this was specific to the sss rom, im guessing general to any 6.5 as none of the others i used seemed to work either.

Thanks in advance!

Re: Verizon GPS question

tell us what you've tried to get it to work. did you make sure the phone Location Setting is turneed on? did you successfully run quickgps first? have you had this working on other custom roms? did you select Use GPS in google maps? did you do a hard reset after flashing?

Re: Verizon GPS question

Phone location setting is on.

QuickGPS appears to run fine.

I have not had it working on other roms, hadnt gotten to it, but now i need it.

Yes, its trying to use gps in google maps. When i run that, it searching for gps sat 0.... is continually displayed.

I did do a hard reset after flashing.

In my connection manager, it says sprint, which i think got carried over from another ROM? Is that bad? Thats the Radio right? Should i switch that back to verizon? How? Sorry...new to this.

and thanks for the reply.

Re: Verizon GPS question

install ppst 2.01 to your phone...when that is complete go to windows and run ppst...

Your GPS will work!

But keep in mind if you flash a new rom or hard reset the phone you will have to install and run ppst again.

PPST can be found n bored's GPS Fix thread.
