Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!

Called around....and they WILL get me a TP2 if it is available to order....now I am on a 'list' and they will call me if they can get me one.. :) Pray I do...I love my phone...but with they being my 4th one...I don't want to chance more problems if I can get a new upgraded one, even since They are offering it ....

And as I found out yesterday, if you bring it in for in-warranty repair during that first year you are eligible to add TEP. My suggestion is to do it so you have some recourse after the one year warranty is up.

That is true...after any warranty repair, they offer you insurance to add to the phone!

After I get my TP2 ( :) ) I may have to get the TEP warranty on that one...

I'm definitely keeping it on my line. Now it's just a matter of getting the TP2. The store is only offering Snap and Treo Pro. Had a nice fight with the manager yesterday to add TEP (he couldn't read the plain English from Sprin't own policy). Heading back today to push for the TP2. How are Snap and Treo comparable? They don't even run the same variant of WinMO (TP is Pro, others are Standard).

Treo has a smaller screen, and the snap is not a touch screen...

Touch Pro: touchscreen, VGA (640x480), WinMo Pro, slideout KB, faster processor, more memory

Snap: No touchscreen, QVGA screen (320x240), WinMo Standard, no slideout KB, processor/memory less

Treo Pro: QVGA (320x240), WinMo Standard, no slideout KB, processor/memory less

Princeton's WordNet defines comparable as "conforming in every respect." These phones certainly are not comparable to the Touch Pro.

Locked and loaded.
