Re: Which Verizon plan is ideal for TP? (any VZW employees?)
I believe the premium package is for NON-Windows Mobile phones. "Mobile Web" is what they refer to when they are talking about their proprietary software on standard phones. There really is no data use in that case.

Re: Which Verizon plan is ideal for TP? (any VZW employees?)
personally I use the 79.99 plan because I am not on the phone as much as I used to and I exclusively stay with texts, email and msn contacts with people. So you may want to go with that one

Quote:
2. The Email & Messaging plans are almost never the best deal. 3. Since the plans you mentioned above are both 900 minute plans, do this: $79.99 - Nationwide Select 900 $29.99 - Email & Web for PDA/Smartphone $109.98 - TOTAL You'll get:
(I'm only highlighting the major features, and not including the minor standard features)

Re: Which Verizon plan is ideal for TP? (any VZW employees?)
Have to admit thats the best plan idea for the cost and features. The email and messaging is really just WirelessSync/ActiveSync exchange included in the plan so that it cannot be removed though it can be not used.
cannot use connect or premium plans as Windows Mobile phones are not Vcast or Mobile Web(WAP2 by Brew) Compatible MidwestDrummer hit the nail on the head with the pricing as that would be your best bang for your buck for a pda/smartphone. If you want to pay for turn by turn direction like vznav it would be an additional 9.99 so total would go up to 119.97 not including if your opting for insurance (which you should..my phone was stolen right in front of me one day) for either 4.99 Phone protection or 5.99 TEP + extended warrenty going with the former would be 124.96 latter 125.96 which would be your access charge per month. unless you talk alot would be pretty hard to hit any extra fees of overages or anything of the sort. As for the difference between email clients. Mobile Email is an application that can be downloaded on any regular handset (and now most pda's) to get your pop email that you may have trouble adding on the some devices (IE Hotmail is a PAIN to add to phones Pocket Outlook, Hotmail is also not WirelessSync capable another example) its an ok app if you just NEED to view your emails fast but it does have alot of limits (no attachments can download properly, Cuts off messages that are too long, HTML not fully supported, Irritating notification process, ect) Data Access for email uses the built in windows mobile Pocket Outlook which is much better for emails or Wirelessync for email and PIM information. |

Re: Which Verizon plan is ideal for TP? (any VZW employees?)
I would be interested in getting VZ Navigator. Is the $10/mo actually for access? Or if I already have the software, do I still need to pay for its use?

yes you cannot use vznav w/out paying the $10. i had vznav on my dare worked wonders but on my vzw tp its slower then you can imagine. you go by the turn and then it talks to you. mine had like a 2 sec lag behind where you actually where. it def got me lost in down town balt not going to lie i was kinda scared haha. so needless to say i wouldnt bother paying for the nav on the tp
