'Slide to Answer/Ignore' doesn't work

Suddenly my 'Slide to Answer/Ignore' doesn't work.. I can slide it all the way the left (answer/green) and it just sticks to the end and doesn't answer the call.. To make matters worse, when I'm trying to answer a call I can't even just hit the phone button.. It also doesn't answer the call.. I usually have to wait for the person to stop calling me and then call them right back.. Ignore/Right still works..

What could cause this?

I need to answer calls!

Advanced Config can cause this have you used it? Usually its when you turn the data setting to standby at 1 min. or whatever. What you describe is the exact effect of standby. I haven't had any problems answering my phone once I stopped messing with the standby thing. It doesn't really save any battery anyway.

Also some other program may have changed the following key:

"HKLM>Comm>ConnMgr>Planner>Settings" were:

"SuspendResume"="#777"

it probably says something like "GPRS_bye_if_device_off"

This is all posted in the threads if you search for it you will get even more information, I know how hard this stuff can be to find. Especially when someone probably has the answer off the top of there head.

I do have Advanced Config, but I don't recall setting it to data stanby.. Where is that setting located? I'll check it..

Thanks!

The best thing to do is pop open your registry editer and go to this key:

"HKLM>Comm>ConnMgr>Planner>Settings" were:

"SuspendResume"="#777"

A lot of chiefs cook in registry editors like PHM Regedit.

Something else may have changed the setting.

incase you don't know:

Launch PHM Regedit

click +HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
click COMM
click COMMMgr
click Planner
click Settings

you should see SuspendResume #777

if you see anything else you need to change it to #777 just click on it Value data: #777

My SuspendResume contents show:

7E 00 47 00 50 00 52 00
53 00 21 00 00 00 00 00

Edit: didn't see your edit, i'll change it to 777 and see if that fixes it..

Mine reads:

23 00 37 00 37 00 37 00
00 00

I actually hate that PHM RegEditir the one NRGZ used always seemed better.

Not to hijack - but along these same lines - how do you turn off Slide to answer/lock and the cheek-guard thing. I think it may be causing my dialer to crash out if I click 'end call' before the call connects.

Re: 'Slide to Answer/Ignore' doesn't work

do this one:
disconnect network when idle for 1 min
HKLM\Comm\CommMgr\Planner\Settings\
set "SuspendResume" to 58 00 00 00 33 00 99 00 88 00 39 00 58 00 39 00 29
add "CacheTime" value of 60
works awesome, i use it, and it disconnectes you from the network when your not using it.

oh and it solved the problem i had where i couldnt answer phone calls when i was connected to the network. it works good. when your connected to the network and you get a phone call. you will hit "answer" but it will take a few seconds for it to disconnect to the network and pick up the phone call.
