Exclamation 16 gb micro sd class 2 vs.class 6 in TP differences

i know that transfer speeds will be different but i dont know how fast it works in the touch pro. Will my music load faster even with a class 2 card compared to the class 6? Will having a class 2 cause the touch pro to lag? Will a class 6 be so different? So im just wondering if these cards a play a noticeable role IN the touch pro as opposed to outside(transfer rates). thanks

I do not think you will notice a difference playing and loading your music. Video and pictures, yes.

Yeah there might be a little bit of a lag between songs, but not really anything that should hinder your music listening experience. If you are watching video, the lag will be more dramatic. Definitely don't recommend running any programs off of a Class 2 card.

However, class 2 16g cards are pretty cheap these days... I just bought one a couple of weeks ago...

Re: 16 gb micro sd class 2 vs.class 6 in TP differences

Yes... significant differences between class 2 and class 6.

* Class 2: 2 MB/s
* Class 4: 4 MB/s
* Class 6: 6 MB/s

I was looking to purchase another microSD card to replace my measly 1GB.

There's a significant difference in price between 8GB class 6 and 16GB class 6. On Newegg.com the cheapest class 6 are listed below

RiDATA 16GB for $49.25

compared to

RiDATA 8GB for $17.92

differences in price is pretty substantial on a per 1GB cost. I just picked up an 8GB. Should be fine for now....considering I only had a 1GB and never ran out of space when I had it.

yea the only time when 8 gigs isn't enough for me is when I use it to transfer files from pc to pc.

which is where a normal USB flash drive comes in handy. frankly I have an abundance of portable storage units to do stuff like that... USB flash drive, my MP3 player, my 250gb usb-powered portable HD...etc.
