Re: Why TP wake up all the time?
I don't have airwave either.
I have the TP since the day it was available from Sprint. I have to charge the phone everyday even though some days I make no calls and no data. Another problem is, when it wakes up in my pants, I get soooo many butt buddies. Sometimes even call internationally (Those are real phone numbers I called, then it redial, or call from phone book.) |

Re: Why TP wake up all the time?
I am not sure about the going from 1x to EVDO being the cause. I do have an Airave because the reception at my house is next to none even though I live less than a mile from my corp Sprint store. My phone would wake up randomly before I had the airave and my area (Midland, TX) dose not have EV. I believe that my phone does wake up randomly because of the airave now but I never could figure out why it did before. Perhaps in my case it is roaming when it wakes up but that is just a guess.

Re: Why TP wake up all the time?
Here is your answer.
First go to this link and download this task manager (GREAT APPLICATION) http://www.dotfred.net/TaskMgr.htm After you get it installed run the program Then go to the Notifications tab. What you will find. These notifications are scheduled events that will wake the device up. For example this is how activesync (repllog.exe) remembers to sync. It is how activesync (repllog.exe) knows that you have plugged your phone into a computer. It is how tmail.exe remembers to check your mail. Now, you can delete these BUT if you do, some of them are put there when the phone is hard reset. Therefore, if you delete them there is no way to get them back unless you remember all of the settings and rebuild it yourself or do a hard reset. You could probably restore them using a backup program such as SPB Backup but I have not tested this... Anyway, I see this question all of the time and that's the answer... By the way, my phone only wakes up when I want it to... Enjoy... |
