ActiveSync Connection Issue

ActiveSync all of a sudden started acting weird and when I go to connect, it says "Connecting" for a few minutes, and then skips to "Looking For Changes". The weird thing is, it never actually says "Syncing" but it does sync the information. After doing that, it freezes the phone and automatically quits ActiveSync on the desktop and doesn't even give me enough time to flash a new ROM. Any ideas?

Re: ActiveSync Connection Issue

Sounds like you are mixing a couple of things: 1 - Syncing data was acting odd; 2 - now you cannot flash to a new ROM. A couple of possible issues:

Bad ROM
Bad phone USB port
Bad PC USB port
Bad USB cable

I would flash to a new ROM via a SD card. Take a look here:

Re: ActiveSync Connection Issue

I have similar issues with WMDC, the Vista version of ActiveSync. There's an informative thread on this site where I've documented my issue and have linked other threads that had various solutions:

I originally had no problems synching the phone, then all of a sudden the PC stopped recognizing the TP. I've tried almost every method to remedy this situation, but none of them thus far have worked.

What I'm trying to say is that because the syncing happens so quickly it does not even give me a chance to flash a new ROM.
