CONTACTS....how to nuke em?

I need to nuke all traces of my contacts on my tp (sprint) and active sync. I had many duplicates on my phone as well as Outlook, things were a mess. I got Outlook straightened out and i want to be able to sync my phone with Outlook and have Outlook be the only contacts that are put onto my phone. I know active sync will put all the old crap on but i dont know how to get rid of the old stuff.
I hope im making sence to smeone here lol

Settings - Clear storage (this will perform a hard reset) or you could try deleting the account on your phone (assuming it is an exchange account).

what's up rusty! i think they're talking about outlook. for example, if i hard reset and then sync, i have 4 listings for sprint cs, 411, and duplicates for all my contacts. i've deleted all the phones in the outlook history, but i keep getting the duplicates.

exactly, it seems no mater what you do there is always 4 sprint customer care contacts in the phone.
Do i really have to hard reset? seems a bit harsh just to get rid of contacts. there must be a way to nuke this thing of all contacts, and to get active sync cleared out as well?

hard resetting the phone won't help. i'm still tinkering with outlook, if i get it figured out i'll post back. hopefully, someone who knows the answer will help both of us.

Google a program called anti-dupe for Microsoft Outlook. I think itls available on Cnet downloads.com and it will fix the problem.

Pimbackup has a clear contacts feature.

Frugality rules the day these days (especially for us contractors) is there a free source or share ware that will do the same?

I have already "cleaned" my contacts in outlook I just dont want the same ol duplicate problem to re-occur.

On the tp...open your contacts...hit menu...select contacts...choose all....hit menu...then click delete contact.

ok, then after that, i connect to active sync and it re-adds all the same old contacts? is there a way to assure that active sync will "not" re-add the contacts to outlook and my phone that is in its memory, or is there a program that will destroy AS and all its cache or what ever it does to reload all contacts etc?
