Default Area Code

On my Treo 700wx there was a setting to allow you to use 7 digit dialing, and have it default to a particulary area code. Actually, it could be 7, 4, and I think three digit dialing. Is there a way on the TP to set a default area code for 7 digit dialing?

Yes, if you go into the Contacts, then click the Menu softkey, then click Options, you can change the default area code. I think it ships as 425.

I changed the area code in contact but it is still making me dial the 10 digits.

I don't think there's a feature to automatically append an area code. Your best bet is to get used to typing them in or add the proper area code to your numbers in the contacts.

I hated it at first, but now I feel strange if I don't have 10 digits.
