hook the touch pro to a credit card machine

has anyone done this. where they hooked there tp to a credit card machine? so they can charge cards away from the store?

Ya I do that everyday.. mmmm no and I can't image too many have if anyone. I guess why would I and why would you? Sounds kinda fishy to me.

I think what he's talking about is if you're running a business, and you have a stand set-up off-site, like a fair or something, and you use the TP for ICS in order to be able to charge customer's credit cards without having a landline hook-up. At least that's what I'm supposing he's referring to..

My wife has a USB based credit card reader for her business. She hooks it to her laptop so she can process credit card orders. I haven't really messed with it to see how it works, but I believe the OP wants to be able to do this using his TP instead of a laptop. Seems like a reasonable question to me....although I have no idea how/if it would work.

I've seen credit card machines hooked up to older phones for dial up verification but nothing for windows mobile.

Your best bet is to connect your credit card processor. They're the ones that usually provide the machine and service anyway. I guess you could always use an online gateway and opera but that seems kind of clunky.
