iPod Touch screen compared to HTC Touch Pro

Hello-

This is a bit weird I know, but the other day I got a new iPod. One of the barely updated Touches they released on the 9th, and since the only thing I have to compare it to is my Touch Pro, I'm posting here in the hopes others use both devices and can confirm/dispute my findings.

To put it simply, my Touch's screen is horribly washed out compared to my Touch Pro. Where the Touch Pro displays beautiful neutral blacks, the iPod displays a muddy, gray/purple color that is no where near black.

Can someone who has used a Touch or an iPhone tell me if my iPod Touch's screen is normal or not compared to their Touch Pro?

Here's a shot exacerbating the gross blueish color by taking the photo on an angle. Yes, I'm aware this isn't how the LCDs were meant to be viewed, but it does a good job of showing just how offwhack the iPod is compared to the Touch Pro.

Thanks.

the pro has higher resolution for its screen size compared to the itouch.

I noticed that too. My TP has such a gorgeous screen and I hope the TP2 is just as good. Although my reason for making this thread was to compare the color/contrast of the two displays.

My iPod Touch (last years 32GB model) definitely has that washed out look - also the "blueish tint" when looking at an angle.
