Help, Sprint is dumb and doesnt know answer
 

Hi,

For some odd reason, a screen is popping up when I turn on my phone and it wont go away even if i hit cancel; it keeps coming back

It brings up a screen called Network Log On
Resource: DATA

It wants me to enter a user name, password, and domain.

Obviously it is to connect to sprint data services. Anyone know what the domain is? Apparently Sprint doesnt know. And what info would go in the username/password?

Just leave it blank and check remember password..

i think that stupid screen was draining my battery too, its been only lasting like 1/2 a day.

i had this problem... i think i ended up having sprint reset the aaa p/w and everything was fixed, or something like that. it was something like that.

it figures....i was talking to cs about phones and she actually argued with me telling me the palm pre was a windows phone lol!

Oh my god, what an idiot. I hope this wasn't a tech you were talking to.

If leaving it blank doesn't work, type in ##3282# (##DATA#) in your dialer, click Edit, type in your MSL, change "User Name" to your sprintpcs.com email address on the account, and then change AAA Shared Secret(HEX) to your password. Then click OK. You probably will have to restart.

If that doesn't work, call Sprint and ask for Advanced Tech Support.

Leaving it blank worked like a charm, thanks guys!

She wanted me to hard reset the phone and backup my contacts and info!

I said "um...im not hard resetting the phone, i just want the information on how to do it"

They should pay you guys to answer tech questions

Another rep bites the dust.

I asked a rep the other day if Sprint planned on rolling out a 6.5 update for the tp2 and she kept saying she had no way of knowing what software the TP2 will run in the future, or what it will run when it's released for that matter.

I wanted to poke her friggin eyeballs out when I heard that. How brain dead does someone have to be to not even be able to read simple specs on a device their company is supposed to support. I mean, I thought it was a stretch to get a clear answer about the update, but I never imagined they didn't even know it ran wm 6.1.
