How soon do you think TP will be phased out?

Just like the Mogul reached end-of-life, and some Mogul users were told the next comparable/'equivalent' phone would be the Touch Pro.

In that same point of reference, what's the time frame the Touch Pro2 will serve as a possible replacement for the Touch Pro if ever?

Day 1 Touch Pro 2 released to the wild on Sprint.

I doubt it will be soon. With the mogul they took forever and I think it will be the same with the tp. I think it will take about a year because they are still selling the tp on sprint.com and they usually run out of refurbised phones about 6 months to a year after they discontinue it but you may have some luck. My brother has a regular old touch and sometimes on the replacement with assurion it shows the replacement to be the diamond but most of the time it showed another touch. so it may be hit and miss.

ohhh I forgot to add they are now replacing just the keyboard instead of all the phone so that will make it take longer too because that is the only issue I have ever had with it and its also the most common issue for people taking their phone in to be replaced...

Yeah the keyboard was an issue with my brother's Pro. He's on his third so far and no problems yet. Mine's just won't connect via usb activesync anymore.

My guesstimate is probably 2-3 months after they stop selling the PRO.

Good thing I have the $150 off upgrade option but waiting on the actual personal accounts of HERO vs PRO2 reviews. Oct 11 is right around the corner.

it'll be a while. one member here, thebundo, just got a brand new in the box mogul a couple weeks ago!

My bro, cousin, and I came into the Pro through Moguls not being in stock anymore, so insurance upgraded us with the Pro...and this is when $50 was the deductible.

:0 a new Mogul at that!

They told me at Verizon it's end of life..... :P they said they didn't even have a battery in stock for me. I was pretty much pissed. Especially since I'm with Alltel, and all of our stores have converted already.

I'm hoping that the end isn't too soon, even thugh I've had my phone since about April., I'm just starting to get use to it... LOL LOL

me too, but i wouldn't mind a bigger screen. i just got the oil smudge after all these months

the local sprint store here (barret parkway and hwy 41 for those local to kennesaw, GA) informed me when i was in 3 weeks ago that they have stopped carrying the phone, and have gotten rid of all accessories and such for it. They didnt have a single thing for the TP. The sales rep that told me this said it was in preperation for the launch of the TP2 in early september, because its been scheduled to replace the TP immediately. Id say refurbs are the last chance to get the TP now.
