Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

Can we undervolt our processors too? I never thought about it but assuming we can under/overclock the proecssors undervolting it should be possible as well right? To be honest I would much rather get more battery life than slightly better performance on something our phone probably still won't run too smoothly anyway.

yeah you can already undervolt now but only to 1.1v , bit it still should help and has seemed to help battery life a little. Use the nueDynamicClock to do it. (the phone's stock voltage is 1.375)

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

Verizon CDMA(MSM7501A) running MightyRom 6.5 final no TF3D.
USB linked to computer during testing.
v1.1 instantly froze my phone.
v1.2 froze my phone within 20secs.
Things appeared to be faster ie the phone switching from normal to landscape view.
I'm sure later versions will be more stable.

yeah, I downloaded the 1.0 and then blinked and then they were at 1.2. I'll probably sit this out until the wrinkles are smoothed out. I'm so psyched though

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

I overclocked my HTC Apache back in the day with the app they had, and it did seem to help. I'm curious to see how it helps the Touch Pro, although I've been "conditioned" by Windows Mobile (and while I'm at it, Windows XP & Vista), to become patient and expect delays.

On a side note, anyone watch Youtube videos of AMD processors being over-overclocked? kinda entertaining, they actually blow up! (just a side note, I'm sure our phones won't blow up).

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

I overclocked 15 minutes ago with version 1.3 - and it's running great so far. It's definitely getting a little warm.

I just used coreplayer to watch an action scene from a DVD rip - and it was totally smooth even with "Direct Draw" as the driver. I watchd it back to back with qtv - and it was indistinguishable. So this should in theory make video out acceptable now, without having to convert files!

I'm running a benchmark on TCPMP now - I should have results in a few minutes.
