Doesn't the Touch Pro 2 already run smooth though?? (I thought it already had an overclocked Touch Pro's CPU)

I've overclocked Intels and AMDs and they usually do require more than stock voltage when you take them high enough but at stock voltage you usually can get some more mhz without bumping up (and likewise you almost always can undervolt if you keep the processor at stock clock speeds if you want to save power and don't need the added performance)

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

This is awesome news! The best news I expected when I logged on today. I can't wait till this program comes out. Now we should be able to get smooth video tv out using tcpmp and coreplayer (without qtv and the blue flickering). Emulators might now be enjoyable - I had too much frameskipping before.

I've only once had a problem with heat - and that was a problem I resolved easily. I had the on-screen lock program, and gyrator on at the same time. Gyrator was set to lock and unlock when the stylus was pulled. So the two programs were constantly fighting - and causing my phone to get blazing hot. Ever since I got rid of the conflict, my phone has been constantly cool - no issues at all. I'm not afraid of overclocking one bit.

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

The cpu is the same on TP1/TP2 but I believe the model chipset is different (MSM7201A) for TP1 and (MSM7600) for TP2. I think No2chem is coming out with only a touch pro version for now. But I bet when he gets the touch pro 2 he will make it work on that too. And I guess if enough people asked and donated he could probably get it working for the mogul and other devices also using similar Qualcomm chipsets.

Re: Touch Pro is now overclockable No2chem did it!

chip in the TP is the 7500 and the TP2 is the 7600. i would imagine it would work on both though. i doubt there is that much difference between them.
