Phone keeps trying to connect to video out
 

everytime i restart my phone or plug it in to my laptop, it tries to connect to video out. how do i get it to stop doing this? i tried reflashing other roms but it always comes up.](*,)

yeah i've done plenty of hard resets... it also gets stuck in landscape mode after i close tv out.

i'm wondering if it might be something on my sd card maybe? idk it started acting up after i tried using the phone as a modem(unsuccessfully).

I say flash back to stock rom first and hard reset. If it still comes up then I would say you have some kind of hardware malfunction.

i flashed to stock, hard reset, and it still comes up. is this something that's covered by the warranty? my power button isn't working right either so maybe i'll just be able to get a new or refurb one ?

Yes if you haven't had it for very long and it is still within the OEM warranty period. If you are paying for the equipment protection then it is definitely covered. Take it in to the store for your carrier and see what they can do. Maybe call your carriers 800 number first and see if they can give you more info.

I had the same problem with my wifes phone...Took to service center and they ordered her another one. Definite hardware problem!!!

i just got off the phone with 3 different alltel reps and when they were finally willing to send me out a refurb, it won't be getting shipped(maybe) until sept 28. is there a chance i can get one from my alltel store tomorrow? they're usually very good about exchanging devices but i'm not sure how that works exactly...
