I just got the verizon htc touch pro & it seems like the battery is always going dead within hours! I've turned off wi-fi, bluetooth & auto adjusted backlight to conserve energy, but it seems like it goes from fully charged to 30% within an hour, even without using it. I've only had the phone for a week, but this is(It goes to sleep to conserve energy, but this is driving me NUTS! Any suggestions? Thanks - gerry

Re: Help - my battery is always going dead!

when was the last time you ran it all the way dead ( 0% - power off ) then fully charged. also it could just be a battery going bad, but I think the former will do wonders for you.

flashing is good too. i got the silence/mighty rom and it will last 2 days if i dont use it at all. if i do use it pretty heavy it will usually last all day well most of the day. i might have to charge it twice a day

Re: Help - my battery is always going dead!

I just figured out how to get my phone to last 2 days with light use. Turn off auto updates for weather, and mail sync to every 30 minutes. Always make sure there are no programs running in the background and its lasted a LONG time for me. Good luck

Unfortunately that's not an option for me.

OP:

Welcome to TP, where runtime is not an option to say the least.

Solution1: Carry spare cells with you. I carry 3x1340 mAh cells to get anywhere near 'normal' runtime.

Solution2: Get extended 3,000 mugen cell. Carry a spare one.
