Installed NuePowerCPL but no changes

Installed these 2 files, they went through the install process OK but the same power bar shows up when I look at power. No changes in anything.

nuePowerCPL
v1.52, OEM Package (.zip) | 16.78 KB | 1356 downloads
v1.52, Cabinet File (.cab) | 16.54 KB | 10464 downloads
Click here for other and older versions.

Also when I look at : "settings"/ "system tab"/ power - the same power bar I had before.

How do I enable this thing?

The web site is missing all documentation on how to install.

Re: Installed NuePowerCPL but no changes

You only need to install the .cab file onto your phone. The OEM package is for chef's to cook it into their rom. Install the CPL and the nuebattery for your device...

I don't know what CPL is, but I think I got it. Cool stuff.

To get it, you have to go to Settings / System / Power & Backlight.

Is there an easier way to access it? Possible to make a shortcut in the Start menu?

Re: Installed NuePowerCPL but no changes

I installed it -- very cool looking.

Problem #1: No shortcut to it. None that I could find or make anyway. You have to go to Settings/System/Power Options

Problem #2: Insane battery life. I went from 100% to 5% in 4 hours and I did not run anything other than Active Sync and get text mesg. Not one phone call or text message sent. Just absolutely crazy. I ended up deleting it and battery life is back to normal.

I use the little percent sign at the top...

No kidding about the battery life. Mine dropped as or more quickly than what you described. It may be because I already had the first version of nuebattery cooked into my ROM. It's never too great on battery life when your phone heats up doing nothing .

Re: Installed NuePowerCPL but no changes

May I recommend NueDynamicClock instead? This works great on the Touch Pro. It saves your battery life by reducing clockspeed- just set it to power saving on its battery profile. It will install a shortcut; setting>system.

By the way, did you install the correct NuePowerCPL? Download the one under this section 'nueBattery for CDMA Touch Pro/Diamond'
