My mail app doesn't work on emails or even SMS text msgs!

My last phone had the same problem too. Basically I have my Yahoo and my Gmail accounts programmed in and it downloads the messages subject lines just fine. Thing is, when I double click them to read them the spinning circles (processing hourglass that comes up when it's "thinking") come up for a second, then the message turns from bold to unbold incidicating I read it but it never opens. It even does the same with my text messages which means if a text isn't short enough for me to read it in the preview, then I can't even read the whole thing! It also does the same if I try to forward, reply, or any of that either.

I tried wiping my device fresh after each flash and funny thing is, that worked literally once. I was able to open one email then never again did it work

Are your accounts set to download the entire message when connecting to the mail server?

No I had it on the default download 5kb of the message then at the bottom there would be a link that says download the rest of this message. But after reading your post, I deleted all accounts and set it to download full messages and it still didn't act right

Do you use the default mail in Windows Mobile?

Yes. I can't even send a text message. It does the same thing, brings up the "thinking" circles then stops like it's done, but nothing has happened. I can't reply, forward, open, create, nothing; except it had no problem opening up for me to send a picture mail.

No. It also makes me unable to send text messages.

Try this:

Look at your registry and see if it reads as follows.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Templates\IPM\Note]
"Read"="\\Windows\\HTC_read_note.htm"
If this true you need to change it to the following and reset your phone and all should be good.
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Inbox\Templates\IPM\Note]
"Read"="\\Windows\\read_note.htm"

This fixed it for me.

Mine is already set the right way then. I changed it to the first way just to see what happens and am resetting now. It already doesn't work, what can it hurt

doesnt work either way. Any chance you could upload those 2 files, read_note.htm and the other one and send to me? Because I just browsed my windows directory and I'm not seeing either
