How long after Sprint stopped selling the mogul did TEP replace mogul with Touch PRO?

I currently have the diamond and would like to know the past trend when it comes to Total Equipment Protection (TEP) upgrading to the next phone (possibly because they ran out of the previous)

I want to know because I'm deciding if I should continue to protection plan or end it.

I know that a bad mogul was replaced with a touch pro, but if you guys have any other experiences with other phones, please let us know how/(or how much longer after) did it happen.

Or any tricks on how to upgrade to another phone even if they have stock available would be appreciated.

Usually it is as soon as they ran out.....seriously dawg, no tricks. And also, as soon as you drop your TEP your Diamond will go capoot..

+1 on droppin TEP HB The phone always dies a day or two later. BTW your dog looks like he is pissed! Anyway back to the OP, My friend sent his in and got a TP, I sent mine in (white spots) and got another mogul, I was like WTF??? But what can you do? I wound up buying the TP at full cause I wasnt about to extend my contract, BTW I AM FREE!!!!! Now where is my Omnia Pro?

you can check online to see what phone they will send you. if you make the claim online it'll tell you the phone model they will send. one cant really tell how long after they will replace with a newer model because who knows how many they got in stock, but yea, when the supply goes the new model will be shipped.

I would say after 6+ months maybe they will replace TP with TP2. There are plenty of TP refurbs I'm sure

you probly have to wait longer because the refubish fone out there but thats messed up sprint messed up cause alot of the times when you take the fone in to get it fix at a sprint store the techs mess up your fone even more like i had my mogul and i had problems with the hardware keys then the tech claimed he fixed it but it didnt it stop working the minute i stepd out the store and then when i went back 4 more other times for my mogul the said i had to pay for a replacement and i tink thats dumb cause the techs in there well atleast that store dont do crap and i tink they shud upgrade peoples touch pro to the touch pro 2 if they really have problems like the keyboard crap is stupid they send people fones with busted keyboards and they pay money for it and this wa we get crap i hope the touch pro 2 is betta cuz sprint jerkd mi alot on the touch pro lol at times i miss ma mogul cause is relable and the battery is not so retarded like it is on the pro but hopefully we get upgrades cuz only god nows da amount of times i walkd in or seen people walk in a sprint store complainn about a touch pro

Everyone in here is just guessing because there is no actual date. And as for running out of tps they always do, and then will be restocked. its all luck, hopefully the day you want to replace it or the day you go to that particular store if they dont have a tp in stock at the particular time then you will get a tp2, but its all luck. Many people have had their moguls updated to tps and many haven't. my lil sis broke her mogul 2 weeks ago and they gave her another mogul, so if they still have moguls today then imagine how long you would have to wait for a tp2. So back to my original statement, its all luck depending on what day you try to order.

Sprint did that for a VERY short time because their inventory was zero for moguls. They have since received a very large shipment of refurbished moguls and are replacing moguls with moguls.
