Ear speaker not working??

I've had my TP for 10 months now. Just this week my ear speaker, (the one when you use it as a phone, pressing the speaker to your ear), has stopped working. I press the speaker phone and it works there. The BlueTooth works too as well as the supplied stereo headset. But the ear speaker won't work. I've even tried a hard reset thinking it might be a software issue...no luck. Is my only option at this point to take it in for repair? Or does anybody have any ideas?

this happened to me. idk how the heck it did it but the ear speaker went out and i was just using it earlier that day. carriers are different but i called in and they replaced it for me for free.
