Gps

hey sorry if this has been asked before but have spent the last hour looking.. i had a touch diamond phone before.. just got the touch pro on bell.. I have unlocked it and trying juicys rom8 on it.. i cannot get the GPS to work i didn't have to do anything on the diamond to get it to work. far as i can tell it says it has a internal gps. does this rom not support it? or is there something different on this phone then the diamond to activate the GPS.. Thanks

Re: Gps

Have you tried running quickgps? I don't know if that is installed on Juicy's roms. If you haven't tried that, I would suggest you do. And if that doesn't work for you then, sounds like you need a GPS PRIMER to give your gps a kick in the rear to jump start it. Hope this helps a lil

Re: Gps

I am personally on Sprint, but have used various cooked ROMs and generally had few issues with GPS...as someone else advised, try quickgps first to see if it helps you lock...if no GPS apps are working at all, flash back to stock and you'll know if it was that particular ROM...if so, hard reset (after backing up PIM data) and try to reinstall the custom ROM again...if problem still persists, I'd just try another...

Re: Gps

first, make sure you have the location tuned "ON" and not set to "911 only". then try the HTC GPS tools and see what happens.
