htc pro wont connect to pc only charges
I have an HTC Pro from USCellular and my phone was working and then all of a sudden it stopped letting me connect through the usb on my computer. I am using windows xp. I have uninstalled activesync on computer and installed again...didnt work. I also did a "clear storage" on my phone to start over again and that didnt work either. active sync works through the exchange server but when I plug my phone into the computer it just charges the phone. My computer does see the device. I also tried different cables and even with different computers...nothing works.
Please help me if you can Thanks

check your usb setting and make sure is isnt set up as usb drive.

I had that problem once.. Sprint ended up exchanging the phone.

Have you tried a manual hard reset of the device?

i had this problem last week. go into START/SETTINGS/CONNECTIONS/USBTOPC and click "ask me first" and also click to disable "faster data sync" soft rest and see what it does.

go to internet sharning when your phone is connected tot he computer.
hit connect..wait a few seconds hit disconnect...wait a few seconds disconnect the phone...wait a few seconds connect the phone. WA-LA
