Hold in the power button until the phone actually turns off........pull the battery for 30 seconds. Then turn it back on. I don't know why this worked for me at all. I tried hard reset and soft reset but it didn't fix the problem. I also had intense heat from the battery and phone.

Tried everything.... even popped the case and nothing. Just one of those things. Hate running these stock ROMs since I have to bring my phone to the store so much.

Re: Keyboard dead again..argghhh..

I went in last Saturday for what will be my third refurb in two weeks...told me it would be here Monday, and I still haven't heard from them (called Thursday, said it was still coming). Yeah...good times.

Re: Keyboard dead again..argghhh..

for anyone with a dead keyboard, and arent worried about warranty... all that is needed to permanently solve the problem is to reseat the connector and apply a piece of electrical tape across the keyboard connector. My keyboard would stop working, so i kept opening the phone and reseating the connector. this happened about 4 times, until i decided to tape it down. its been over 2 months now , and my keyboard has yet to quit (carrying phone in humid pocket/dropping), and also fixed my sisters and 2 friends touchpro's keyboard problems
so your options are fix yourself permanently....or you can keep sending your phone back... and getting the same problem..

I am going to have to try that next time it happens to mine. Thanks
