Broken Volume Down key
Hello There,
I seem to have a broken volume down key on my Touch Pro. Oddly enough, I'm not able to do a "hard-reset" because the volume keys don't respond when the hard reset message prompts. Does anybody know if I can disable these "volume keys" and just use the touch screen response to changing the volume. I don't think the volume hard keys are a big deal as long as volume can be controlled else where. The reason I ask is because the volume menu is going "bananas" and is draining my battery at random increments during the day. |
Re: Broken Volume Down key
what volume control do you have installed? if its stock winmo, just tap the speaker icon. same for htc volume control. if you have tachi notifications tap the icon then I think you can tap the speaker icon from there

What are you talking about? My question was how do I turn off the hard volume controls, NOT how do I use the software volume speakers....

Re: Broken Volume Down key
You might be able to disable them entirely with a program like dredsensor or AE Button Plus, or that nifty new keyboard controller that's over on xda (I used that one to map my <- key to "OK/Close").
Or, if you're feeling adventurous, take the TP apart and either get out the piece of sand stuck in there or use the soldering iron to fix it, depending on the exact nature of the problem. :) |
