Lightweight AIM client?

What is everyone using? I've tried a couple but nothing has been quite the right fit yet.

I tried the official AOL ones (versions 1.0, 1.2, 2.0 beta) and they're all way too slow. Probably too many graphics and effects for my gimped verizon phone to handle.

I then found Slick and it was everything I was looking for (fast, simple, etc) but it crashed way too often. I'd be in the middle of a convo and it'd just suddenly close itself.

I'm using talkonaut right now, and it's nice and fast, but the lack of notifications is a deal breaker.

What else should I be checking out? What do all of you use? Thanks in advance

Palringo, Nimbuzz, and IM+ all support Aim. I think Palringo and IM+ are paid apps. I have used Nimbuzz in the past and it runs fine on my tp was a bit laggy on the mogul but it ran fine.

paringo is not a paid app. Its free. I use it. Its fabulous. It logs you into msn, aim, and yahoo messenger all at the same time. Plus the the palringo rooms are great too. Palringo supports live voice chat.

Try slick also... very light, cool saturation and blur effects with menus too!
