How can I salvage my Touch Pro?!
Well, I have an Alltel HTC Touch Pro, and I've came across some problems.. :(
A few weeks ago, a friend had my phone when we were at the beach.. tripped.. and off it went into the water. It was under for literally 2-3 seconds, and I immediately took out the battery. Put it in rice, let it dry out completely, and it is now working again. Except.. it no longer vibrates nor does it have any sound. I really want to find a way to fix it, but I am extremely novice in this field. Do I have any options? I did not insurance and of course the water damage stickers changed to red. Hopefully it is in some way repairable. I appreciate ANY help. |
Re: How can I salvage my Touch Pro?!
only way youll fix that speaker is to have it replaced, either by a service center for a fee or by yourself....
dunno what to tell ya about vibrate.... ? - does the audio work if u have a headset plugged in??? also have u made a call to see if they can hear you, but u just cant hear them?? |

And wouldn't it be fishy if I make a claim a week or two after I get the insurance? [edit] I guess so :D I'm having it added now. Is it a good idea to do it in the next week, or should I at least until next month? I can live with my BlackBerry for a few weeks before it's replaced. |

Eh. Electronics + beaches never mix.
Ever try bringing a camera to a beach? You'll most likely destroy it with all the sand on the ground. |
