Question about the TV Out feature

3 Attachment(s)
I purchased the TV Out Cable on ebay and it was labeled as "OEM Touch Pro / Fuze AV TV / Video OUT cable AC T110". When I received it in the mail, I don't believe its actually the OEM one. From what I've seen of the OEM one, it doesn't look like I received the correct one. So before I complain to the seller, I wanted to make sure I'm right. I attached a few pics for anyone who has the actual OEM version to compare with.

Also, when I try running the TV Out, the video plays fine on the Touch Pro, but does not play smoothly on the tv. Could this be because its not the official cable?

It should look like this one

The issue with it not playing smoothly is probably not the cable but an issue with the conversion composite video.
Video that was QVGA resolution played smooth, but when playing a video in VGA resolution it was choppy

Yes, that is what I thought. I saw pictures of the OEM one previously and just wanted to confirm it. Thanks!

The problem I have with video is that when I try to play a video through TCPMP, it plays smoothly on the screen, but not on TV the cable is hooked to. The video in question is a DVDRIP file I have and I tried a few others with similar results. I have not tried anything through WMP yet because I don't really have anything that will play through there although I will do some additional testing. I also tried running YouTube on it and the video appeared choppier on the TV than it did on the screen. When viewing pictures, the colors looked kind of washed out and the picture doesn't look great, but I realize that's probably because it was on a 46" HD LCD. Is there any way I can get the video files I have to play correctly through the cable? Also, is there a small sample video you can post that works fine with your setup so I can test it? Thanks again for your help!

This may be part of the problem. What is the video resolution that you are trying to play?

Was this a "HQ" video or the standard definition video?

This is due to the fact that they are using a composite video signal which is limited to 480i. Colors will be washed out and the picture may appear murky.

Try encoding the video at a lower resolution.

When I get home if I can remember?

Really the only thing that the TV out does good is show pictures on a standard definition TV.
I have not used mine in a while. I get it out and do some more tests.

Are you running the stock ROM or a Custom ROM?
