Internet while roaming question..

Alright, so Im with sprint, and I live in a small town, that is constantly roaming. Now, I went to the sprint site, and looked at the coverage map, then looked at it for data, and it says it covers my area, on roaming.

But the problem is, even though its covered by roaming, its still not working at all, no data connection that is. Cant use weather, check email, nothing but text and voicecalls, and voicemail. I honestly dont even think I can get data where it is covered, not sure if I did something when changing the rom on my phone or what.

Anyway, I do have unlimited everything, so i know i have the service, and I am using the Mightyrom, on HTC touch pro.

Try going into settings and clicking on phone settings, then go to services and clicking on network service and click get settings. should be a option under data roaming and you can select never ask and allow roaming.

Just tried that, and getting an error...

dialed #777,
Cannot connect for an unknown reason

delete that connection and make a new one, make it dial out to #777, leave username and password blank.

Have you tried the PRL update? If your prl is out of date it might not have that you can roam.

Call tech support, tell them whats going on, they can verify it and maybe Retention can send you an AiRave for free like they did for me. I needed it mostly for signal, not data but its worth a shot. Also, have you checked your account to make sure you dont have data restricted in the settings (online).
