EDIT: I can say it would be nice if they did a TRUE merge...because they can't access the accounts or phones for that natter (even refurbs) the same way they can access regular vzw accounts, it's makes it WAY harder to service you alltellers. My buddy works for Vzw, so I stay on the scoops...

this is not ture. if it was then when i would walk into a verizon store they would have to send me to the alltel only line, right?!??!! and when i call on the phone and they say thanks for calling verizon wireless not alltel!! lol its not alltel anymore by a long shot, it is all handled by verizon now. pooor poor us!!!! lol

Woah..... that's strong words. With this thread being two pages long, I'm surprised the standard Verizon flag waving fanboys havent weighed in.

I'm pretty certain that customer service as a whole, from all commercial industries sucks

yeah i also had a verzion rep help me with a phone problem. usually when they have to call your phone to make sure its working right its an alltel number right? i always get vzw numbers now

There has already been about 1000 threads on the subject here before.

I have had great service from VZ. Some of their policies irritate me, but I had Sprint for two years & i ain't going back anytime soon......

I agree verizon sucks. they charge to much for the plans. come to sprint.

Verizon does suck. I was supposed to have unlimited text on my account. well apparently it was never added, and i went over on texting by 3000 texts (was on the 500 text plan) so i called, and they said they couldnt do anything, all they would do is add the unlimited text plan on, but would not prorate it..

.this was after being a verizon customer for 8 years. well enough was enough, and after researching sprint and finding out we would be saving $200 a month by switching to sprint, it was a no brainer....

so verizon sent the last bill of 800 bucks, cuz the overage fee was 200 something, plus data usage...so i called the verizon account executives (the top of the food chain) i left a 10 min message cursing them out and complaining about their service....

no response, till 3 weeks later when we got a revised bill with a $560 credit, no call to applologize or anything...screw VZW

I think they gave you more than they needed to.
Does SPRINT call you back to make sure you have been taken care of..??
It would suprise me if they did..

Actually it's quite annoying.... they do. Everytime I do something (Minor, Major, it doesn't matter), they will call once a day until they catch me to ensure they made me a happy customer. Sometimes they send emails too.

What does that matter any-who. The OP was griping about his bad customer service experience.

It is so stupid to argue which service is better, use whatever works for you.

I depend on SMS for work & I need them delivered 20 seconds after I send them, not nine hours later (or not at all) like the continous complaints about Sprint. I fought with Sprint for two years about that & they basically told me "that's how it is, live with it" I'm not willing to do that, so I willingly pay VZ's higher rates.

Other people don't care about that, & are fine with Sprint & their cheaper plans.
