Phone Hard Reset On It's Own

I tried searching and can't find anything on it. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. Yesterday when I tried to wake up my phone, the screen was all gray. It looked like how it does when you are flashing. I pushed the power button, nothing happened. I slid the keyboard open and my screen came back, but the colors were way off. It was as if I was looking at it through a filter or it was a photo negative. I soft reset and it came back fine. For the next few hours it worked fine unless I tried to access my sms and then the phone would freeze up. A few hours later, I went to use it and it was stuck on the black screen that says touch pro with the red info at the bottom. I tried soft resetting a few times and it came back the same. I let it sit for about 30 minutes, on that touch pro screen, and it finally hard reset by its self. Working without flaw now, but what caused this? Should I be concerned?

Edit: I am running stock sprint rom with latest MR. I have been using all apps for months now, so nothing new that could have caused this

Re: Phone Hard Reset On It's Own

hmm, I think you might just be a timely example of a the discussion in another thread.

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=100180

I believe it's because you did not do an extra hard reset after flashing the updated rom or possible by not flashing via active sync?

the latter can be determined by the radio, pri, and prL versions.
the former just took care of it's self

Re: Phone Hard Reset On It's Own

I have done a couple of hard resets since I upgraded to the new rom and I did it through active sync. I will check out that other thread though. Thanks

Re: Phone Hard Reset On It's Own

hmm, I guess it was a weird glitch or you inadvertently filled up all your internal storage.

I'm not sure, but I know i've experience the same thing before, just not sure what caused, but never happened since.

Well, my biggest problem is not so much that it happened, but not knowing why it did. I guess I am just one of those people that doesn't like mysteries.
