I think my phone may be bricked...any suggestions?

So where to start...today my phone quick connecting via active sync (tried multiple computers, unchecked fast data connection, etc..., still no luck) so I decide I'm going to get it repaired, but I needed to flash the original rom, radio, and then relock.

I flash the original rom and radio (via micro sd), everythings working great, and then I get the nbh file to relock my phone and as its loading, the htc resets and freezes on the grey loading screen.

I have tried to hard reset, I have tried to load a different nbh file, I have tried to remove my micro sd (getting the upgrade rom code error). All options have failed.

If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it...I hope I don't have an expensive paper weight on my hands.

try the unlocker and then relock and see what that does.

If it is stuck on the gray loading screen then techs wont be able to tell if you are unlocked still and most wont think to look for that if the software looks right if they can get it to boot. I would just take it in and tell them that you were hard resetting because of performance issues and the phone froze.

Have you tried using a different cable? Go into bootloader mode, then try to reflash the unlocker or relocker via the computer?

Re: I think my phone may be bricked...any suggestions?

I think it may be unlocked still...If i don't have an micro sd card with a .nbh file it won't go to the loading screen...it will simply stay on the rainbow screen showing:

Security unlocked
SPL.37.0000

Upgrade ROM code error Please try again

apristel...I don't have another cable, but the cable was charging the phone when connected, just wouldn't active sync so I could run the relocker via the computer.

The only I seem to be able to flash is via the micro sd card, and when I attempt to do that, it freezes on the loading as well.

Have you tried reformatting the sdcard? Maybe it is corrupt?

Re: I think my phone may be bricked...any suggestions?

37.XXX means that it is still unlocked. To me what is sounds like is it's dumped the ROM completely. If you can't get either the unlocker/ locker to work try loading a ROM (a basic hacked one should work) and then running the unlocker again... Once/ if that completes load that stock one back on and run your relocker again.
If I remember right I had something like this a few phones ago and this is what I had to do to get it to work again.

edit. If the basic one will not work try the stock rom. Then run your un/locker agian.

0.37.0000 means you are locked. so, to get out of the "upgrade rom code error" you have to flash the SHIPPED stock rom. if you have to do it via the sd card, download the SHIPPED stock rom and extract it with winrar so that you get the nbh file and it will work.
